  2. The design is demonstrated using sketches, drawings, plans or material collages. To present the design, 2
boards maximum are to be submitted.

To present the implementation, 2 boards maximum are to be submitted. Sculptured models are not permitted. The applicant must ensure in advance that data carrier as well as data can be run on a current model of an Windows or an Apple Macintosh Workstation compatible.
  4. Application form
To be filled in legible writing, including all information required.

Submissions by students do not have to be implemented. Basically, their applications can consist of the criteria conception, design, and application form.

Submissions of a scientific nature (dissertations for diplomas, degrees [Bachelor, Master, MPhil, PhD], research projects and publications) are in all cases to be sent in written form. The elements of conception, design and implementation do not apply. The additional submission of a data carrier (USB-stick, CD or DVD) identical to the written project is desirable but not essential. The application form must be send in any case.

As far as possible, the awarding body will decide on the appropriate form of publication of science projects received.

Each part of the work must be accom panied by the full name and address of the participant. Also, each participant must identify the written work or object. This form of identification must be identical on all individual parts of the submission. The formats and maximum number of boards for the conceptual context, design and implementation must be strictly adhered to.

Only projects that were completed after 1st January 2003 have been selected to appear before the jury. All entries must carry a written declaration of creatorship with regards to the design presentation. The participant will be held liable for legal consequences by his/her signature if giving false evidence concerning authorship and creatorship. If the creatorship is doubted during the initial examinations, the awarding body will contact the participant. If such doubts cannot be resolved in the course of the enquiry, the awarding body reserves the right to exclude the submission from appearing before the jury.

The receipt of each entry will be confirmed in writing, as soon as it arrives in the offices of the organisers. At the same time, each participant will receive a bill of charges. This is to be paid via bank transfer to the account stated on the invoice, free of charge to the awarding body. Submissions for which the fees have not been paid or not been paid in
time will be excluded from appearing before the jury.

On submission, each applicant declares his/her agreement that the work entered into the competition may be published free of charge by the awarding body in the interest of a report to ColourDesignAward. This applies to publications of the awarding body in print media (newspapers, ColourDesignAward documentation), on the internet or in exhibitions organised by the awarding bodies (Symposium Colour.Design.Therapy 2009 or COLOUR 2010 in Munich). Furthermore, for this purpose the participant will declare that the submissions may be reproduced and saved on disk free of charge for the purpose of publication by the awarding body. This also applies to additional pictorial material that has been made available to us by the participant for publication purposes at the request of the awarding body.

Personal data (addresses) remain saved on disk with the awarding body and are not forwarded to third parties. The copyright for the submitted work, however, is not transferred; it remains in all cases with the originator!

It must be explicitly understood that the submitted work will not be returned.

The applicant is fully liable for the correctness of their information, if necessary also for legal and financial consequences of erroneous or incomplete information. He/she warrants that his/her participation will not infringe on the rights of any third party, in particular any copyrights or right of use. The submissions must not infringe upon the trademark right of others. The awarding body accepts no liability whatsoever. The applicant exempts the awarding body of any claims from third parties. There is no right of appeal.
